August 13 - Bring a Buddy Match - Results

On Saturday August 13, the Fullbore Section hosted a 2-person team match (aka the Bring a Buddy Match). We had a great turnout of 22 buddies! Everyone had different experience levels with competitive shooting, so we tried to pair newer shooters with those who had shot competitions before.

After a safety briefing and a quick introduction on how Fullbore competitions are conducted, Adam MacDonald handed out new dry-erase plotters and provided a tutorial on how to plot while shooting.

The Course of Fire was:
2+15 @ 800m (Teams)
2+15 @ 900m (Teams)
2+15 @ 900m (Individual)

For the first two matches, teams were encouraged to work together, discuss strategy and wind calls. For the third match, we ran it as a typical individual match with pair firing. Due to the great turn out, we had two relays of each team match. After a delayed start, the first shot was fired at 11:30am.

Special shout-out to Dan and Braden, who stopped by for a quick practice on their way to the Canadian National TR Championships in Ottawa. They wanted to shoot their target rifles on an F-Class target for a challenge! Good luck at Nationals!
