The match will be held annually among teams of size shooting representatives of the Rifle Associations of NB, PEI and NS. The match will rotate in a clockwise manner from PEI to NS to NB in that order and will be fired on the next day following the Inter-Maritime Match.
There will be two sighting shots and ten shots at each of 300, 500, 600 yards (or metres). Sighters may be converted. One target will be allotted to each team. The three targets will be separated by at least two empty targets if at all possible. At the start of the match and at each range, lots will be drawn to determine the target numbers for each team. Two shooters will fire and then rotate one target to the right.
The targets will be those prescribed by DCRA regulations for that year. Rifles and equipment will conform to current DCRA rules for that year. A certified weight will be used to weigh all triggers prior to the commencement of the match. Scoreboards will be supplied by the host and marked by a scorer not of the host province.
Starting time will be 9:00 am.
Coaching is permitted. Each team must have a designated Captain. The three team captains are responsible for any questions or disputes in the competition and have final authority rather than the host province. It must be recognized that the match belongs to the Maritimes and must be regarded as such.
Recognition must be made of the fast that this is a social event and the shooters and any guests will be encouraged to meet after the match for a “banquet.” The host province will supply souvenirs to be presented to each shooter of the winning team.
